PROBLEM
Secure transmission of thermal surveillance footage over wireless networks is challenging due to bandwidth limitations and the risk of interception. Existing solutions often compromise either transmission efficiency or data security.
APPROACH
Developed an end-to-end encrypted video transmission pipeline that digitizes thermal camera output, encrypts each frame before transmission, and securely decrypts it at the receiver. OpenCV and cryptographic techniques were integrated to enable real-time streaming with minimal latency.
OUTCOME
Built a secure real-time surveillance system capable of transmitting encrypted thermal video over wireless networks while preserving data confidentiality and transmission reliability. The work also contributed to ongoing research with IRDE, DRDO.
